About the Instructor

Leon Lierzer is a highly experienced AVID and Final Cut Pro editor. Based in Germany he has worked in the field for over 10 years, nationally and internationally (Istanbul, Jakarta, Marrakesh) editing commercials, features and documentaries. In addition, he has collaborated on numerous new forms of visual arts, such as videos for live performances, installations and experimental films. He enjoys the different challenges of each genre and switching between them has allowed him to develop a keen eye, both aesthetically and dramaturgically. His goal in editing is to touch the emotions of the audience. With a quick perception of where a film still lacks emotional depth, he looks for ways to enhance the mood of each scene to a powerful level.
